India’s U-17 girls continued their impressive campaign at the Asian Boxing U15 & U17 Championships 2026 by confirming 12 medals with a series of dominant performances in Tashkent on Thursday.
The Indian contingent produced multiple commanding victories, underlining the country’s growing depth in youth boxing at the continental level.

Leading the charge was Rakhi in the 46kg category, who secured a convincing 5-0 win over her opponent from Chinese Taipei.
Khushi (48kg) delivered one of the standout performances of the day with a first-round RSC victory against Korea, while Mamta (52kg) followed it up with a dominant Round 2 RSC win over Jordan.
India’s momentum continued through the day as Laxmi (54kg) registered a third-round RSC victory against Mongolia and Navya (57kg) outclassed her Chinese opponent 5-0.
Ishika (60kg) also impressed with a second-round RSC win over Mongolia.
The Indian team added more emphatic victories in the heavier categories, with Harnoor (66kg) and Himanshi (70kg) both securing first-round RSC wins against Chinese Taipei.
Jyoti (75kg) advanced after her opponent from Turkmenistan was disqualified, while Gurseerat (80+kg) sealed a solid 4-0 win over Kazakhstan.
The only setback for India came in the 50kg category, where Ovi narrowly lost 2-3 against a boxer from Uzbekistan in a closely fought contest.
In the boys’ section, Narendra Kumar Nella also impressed with a commanding RSC victory in the 44-46kg category.
With 12 medals already assured and several dominant RSC wins recorded, India’s young boxers have continued to make a strong statement at the continental championships.
